Client's Issue:

After nearly 4 years, I'm at a critical point in my business where I realize I need to find a better way to manage my inventory and order processing. I need an inventory management platform catered to e-commerce that can streamline the following key areas:

  • Inventory Management - I store my product in 3 third-party logistics (3PL) warehouses which are in the same system, as well as Amazon FBA; I sell approximately 1000 SKUs.
  • Purchasing - I have 5 suppliers and would like to make replenishing my inventory as painless and efficient as possible. Two of my suppliers sometime drop ship on the rare occasion. I struggle mightily with managing purchases, often am understocked, overstocked and products backordered
  • Order Management - I have two websites on WooCommerce (switching to Shopify soon), sell amazon.com and amazon.ca, plan to sell on eBay, etc. I sell both B2B and B2C.
  • CRM - For my B2C and B2B customers.
  • Robust Reports - Providing intelligence to make better business decisions. And we need an inventory integration with QuickBooks.

Dealing with vendors and purchase orders has never been easier thanks to Zoho Inventory. Set low stock alerts to trigger that email a notification when an item's stock reaches below the specified stock level. Automatically create purchase orders that you can send to an item's associated vendor when a sales order status is "Confirmed."

These generated purchase orders are stored in your Dropshipments tab (drop shipping must be enabled). Approve the purchase orders and email them to your vendors. Drop shipments do not affect your stock levels because you do not have those items on hand, but drop shipments do show up on Zoho Inventory's transactions lists and cash flow reports.

Zoho Inventory is a very powerful tool that can manage multiple warehouses at once. Use automatic inventory alerts that can be triggered to send a Purchase Order to your vendors. The Zoho Inventory application also integrates directly with WooCommerce or Shopify stores to sync stock levels. Your Zoho Inventory stock levels will be updated after a Shopify purchase, and your Shopify store will update if you change the stock levels in Zoho.

Set your primary warehouse, and add your others into the system as you grow. Items are synced between your eCommere store and Zoho by SKU number. Get additional warehouses past 10 added to your Zoho Inventory for only $90/year.

Integrate FBA and your Amazon.com store to Zoho Inventory + use other 3PL warehouses

Zoho Inventory currently supports Amazon.com stores, however Amazon.ca stores are not supported at this time. Like other sales channels, simply match the inventory SKUs to make sure Amazon and Zoho Inventory can sync properly. Any purchases through your Amazon account will update your stock levels in Zoho Inventory, similarly any changes in Zoho will update your Amazon stock levels.

With this Amazon.com store and FBA integration you can place back orders on products that are out of stock. You can even setup a fully functional drop shipping system using FBA and Zoho Inventory.

What happens when Amazon and Zoho Inventory sync?

Just like with your Shopify or eBay store, any purchases made through Amazon will be synced to your Zoho Inventory. No more duplicate data!

Items in your Amazon inventory with more than 3 attributes will not be synced as Zoho Inventory supports only three attributes per item.

Integrate your Etsy.com store to Zoho Inventory

Listings on Etsy are synced with Items in Zoho Inventory. Etsy Receipts are recorded as Sales Orders in Zoho Inventory during automatic syncs. Items from Etsy and on Zoho Inventory should have the same SKU or name values to be properly synced. With this Zoho Inventory Etsy integration you can also manually link items between the two systems if it's not possible to match names or SKU numbers.

What happens when Etsy and Zoho Inventory sync?

Stock levels are automatically syned between Etsy and Zoho Inventory as well. You can disable stock syncing at any time.

Shipping costs based on your shipping provider will be pushed from Zoho Inventory to your Etsy shopping cart to calculate accurate shipping costs for your customers. You must have a shipping channel setup in Zoho Inventory for shipping information to be synced.

Integrate your eBay.com store to Zoho Inventory

Zoho Inventory currently supports integrating with ebay.com stores. All items from eBay and on Zoho Inventory must have the same SKU values to be properly recorded. eBay sales that take place will be recorded as Sales Orders in Zoho Inventory during automatic syncs. Automatic sync cycles between the two systems can be set from 30 minutes to 4 hours, and can manually be synced at any time.

What happens when eBay and Zoho Inventory sync?

Your current eBay stock levels will be updated depending on the Zoho Inventory stock levels. The payment status will be taken from eBay and placed as a note in your Sales Order as "paid." Any new eBay customer that makes a purchase will also be added as a connection in Zoho Inventory for your records. Shipments for eBay purchases will take the information from your Zoho Inventory automatically.
